Workshops in science, writing, theatre & dance, music, crafts are a regular feature. Dedicated resource persons are roped in to conduct these from time to time. These help the kids gain a lot of self confidence. Recently the children put up a theatre and dance performance at Aarohi, an NGO in the vicinity.

Celebration of festivals

An integral part of the interaction and exposure, is the celebration of festivals through the year. The kids gather at the library to meet and greet each other to celebrate the festival. Over the years it has become a community space for the celebration of Holi and other local events.

The Library also celebrates its ‘annual day’ in June every year with the children showcasing their talents in theatre and dance. The village community and other visitors grace the occasion.

With the help of partner organizations, the library conducts health, eye and dental camps periodically.  It has also provided reusable sanitary napkins to the girls & women.

During the lockdown, the library provided ration packs to the community and was used by well wishers to provide medical assistance for monitoring health.

The library has over time become a hub for the Aanganwadi activities and their health awareness drives.

These are conducted whenever possible. Over time the children have visited Nainital, attended two adventure camps and experienced a 5 day visit to Agra, Mathura & Vrindavan.
