What a way to start 2019 – with a brand new library space for the happy children of Happy Children’s Library!
Thanks to all your support, the library extension is now complete.
Finally, after 2 whole months and a whole lot of waiting, the library was thrown open to the children on 13th December. While new cupboards and low tables are yet to be installed, the extension work along with carpeting was completed as planned. The library now covers 375 square feet with a brand new carpet.
With so much more space, we can now run two tuition classes in a better manner. Once the screen is fixed and the desktop computer is commissioned, we will also be able to hold audio visual sessions very conveniently.
We wish to thank all our friends and well wishers for their generous contributions. We garnered about Rs 4.20 lacs directly and Rs 80,000 through crowd funding. This has been adequate to meet the total expenses of about Rs 5.65 lacs.
